Dr. Silas David Emmanuel is an Environmental Bio-Microbiologist specializing in Bioremediation and Agricultural Bio-Microbiology. He obtained his doctorate through his research discovery titled “Quality Assetability of Rhizobium Species from Organic Base Biofertilizer Production Using Multiple Organic Waste as Carrier Base in Readiness for Commercialization.” His research work has been recognized by Academia.edu and documented by BP International as a book chapter in Research Advances and Challenges in Agricultural Sciences, Vol. 5, conducted at the National Research Institute for Chemical Technology (NARICT), Basawa Zaria. Another study titled “Accessibility of Ureolytic Strains of Bacteria for Production of Urease Organic Base Biofertilizer” was published in the International Journal of Recent Scientific Research (2020) and later documented by BP International as a potential book chapter.
Dr. Emmanuel has worked with the National Research Institute for Chemical Technology (NARICT), Zaria, serving as an Assistant Chief Research Officer since 2016, and has also been associated with the Nigerian Institute of Leather and Science Technology (NILEST), Zaria. In 2026, he was appointed Director of Research at Kaduna Polytechnic (Kad-Poly). He has authored about 63 research articles and contributed to more than 40 books and book chapters. He was also appointed Project Associate at the World Food Programme (WFP), Abuja, on 3 November 2025. In recognition of his research contributions, he received an award supported by the United Nations with a grant of 1 million USD.
